A Little History in Every Cup
The perfect blend of Auburn stories and great coffee.
Just across from Auburn’s municipal complex sits a local treasure—Ross House Coffee & Roastery. This 111-year-old home, with its wrap-around porch and timeless charm, has been lovingly renovated into a cozy coffee spot that blends historic character with a modern touch.
Owner Toni Holt first connected with Stephen Benson, whose mother once owned and loved the home, after hearing about a heartfelt social media movement from Auburn University students to “#SaveTheRossHouse.” Many of those students had once lived there themselves and couldn’t bear to see it torn down. Together, Toni and Stephen shared a vision: to preserve the history, warmth, and spirit of the house while creating a one-of-a-kind, locally owned coffee shop and roastery for the Auburn community.
Now open six days a week (closed Sundays), Ross House Coffee & Roastery is more than just a place to grab your morning brew—it’s a space for connection. With multiple cozy rooms perfect for Bible studies, baby showers, company gatherings, or casual coffee catch-ups, every visit feels like home. And with our in-store roastery, you can count on fresh, high-quality coffee served with a smile—every single day.
